On the first disk we went for using 'modern advances' and made use of samples to introduce the disk. Jonathan 'Twilighte' Bristow was very enthusiastic about Rhetoric and wrote an excellent menu system to introduce the disk in style. (Use cursor keys and space barHe incorporated the sample I selected, converting it to a 4-bit sample. The sample was from a collection by Stephen Meachen taken from the film 'The Mask'.

The menu included a couple of programs/ pieces of coding which were used to insert the loading instructions. These programs were not included on the finalised disk so that the menu would be exclusive to Rhetoric disks.

Using the same menu system as before we have another collection of programs. I tried to include an Atmos or disk version of a software that was only previously available on tape, some classics, an adventure game, a type-in  and something new.

The menu system had been causing me lots of problems due to some restrictions. I couldn't change the sample and had to write extra code if I needed to use a QUIT command. Reluctantly I decided to opt for an easier to use menu that featured on OUM disks. Future disks would have a different sample on boot-up.
Cybojudge appeared on the disk in order to correspond with my articles on program writing, (and demonstrate how not to do it !).

The fouth disk meant we had made it through one year of publication. I was pleased that I'd managed to keep the disks on time. The disks sold well and the only complaint was that it was mainly games ont he disk. My aim, (see disk 2) was to provide a mixture of old and new, which I think I acheived, and most people were wanting games. I tried to include some form of utility or demo program code on each disk too.
People were invited to request specific programs for inclusion on the disks but it was really down to me to see what I could find.
